Guild Wars 2

Hey Guys,
I´m about to buy a new computer and just have that small budget to either buy the AMD Fx-6300 CPu and an AMD R9 270X graphiccard or an Intel I5-3470 CPU and an AMD R7-260X graphiccard. I don´t know, if I should go for the Intel CPU, because i never do WVW anyways and i don´t care for worldevents as much, aswell. I´m mainly running through dungeons.
In addition, I also want to play other games, which aren´t as CPU-bound as Guild Wars 2 is, but I will still play it mainly.
I´m not clear about my decision currently, but i prefer the FX6300 CPU, because I can afford the R9 270X then.
I hope for some recommendations and am sorry for my bad english. It´s not my mainlanguage :P

You’d be better off with the FX-6300 and R9 270X then if you’re not interested in wvw or large player events since in non CPU bound games, FX processors don’t perform badly. Some games you may see better performance if the same card was paired with the i5 but the i5 configuration has the R7 260X which to my understanding is significantly slower than the R9.

Though if possible I’d try and grab the best of both worlds, the i5 3470 and R9 270X.

Because I don´t have as much money right now, I´ll go with the FX CPU and hope it´s working out.

If you have any source of income, I’d wager it’d be worth it to wait a little more and then buy it then you could grab the i5 but if you’re happy with it, there shouldn’t be an issue.

Hey, you mean brand new computer parts from store? If you’re buying new, take 4th Generation of i5 – 4460 for example.

You can save money buying CPU tested from second hand, two weeks ago i bought i5-2400 with additional cooling for ~120$.

Since the 270x is around 50% faster than the 260x, I would lean toward the 270x setup up. Sure the FX cores aren’t anywhere near as fast as Intel’s but I think you would be happier, at least when playing other modern games, with the 270×.
