Laptop’s specs:

CPU: Intel Core i7 2670QM (2.2 Ghz)
OS: Windows 7 64-bit
RAM: 8GB
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GT 555m
HDD: 750 Gb

(It’s an alienware M14x)

Anyways, my laptop can’t run GW2 really well even on the lowest settings which is running GW2 on 4-6 FPS (Which sucks a lot!!!). Also, when I played GW2 during and after it’s release, I can run GW2 on high on 30-40 FPS. So anyways, my question is: What happened?

Thanks!

the only thing I can recommend is check anti-aliasing options to make sure they are off.

Are you sure that you are not running your pc on the power saving mode in the power settings? Because it downclocks everything.

I would make sure that your CPU and GPU temperatures are within their limits when under load. If you don’t already have software that monitors the GPU and CPU, then I recommend getting HWMonitor, which can be found here:

In one year, a lot of dust can gather in one place. :p

My buddy had a similar issue with is m14x. Powersupply went bad, so it basically put the laptop in powersaving mode like when its on battery.

Replaced powersuply and all was cured.

I’ve heard that the Optimus is terrible for games. How do I alter or change it?

Thanks!
