GTX TITAN support
< GTX 780 Classified. Close enough . I have no problems.

If you’ve not been seeing any improvement of the game from upgrading to a GTX Titan, it’s probably because a Radeon HD 7850 can totally max this game and still run well if you have an intel i5 quad core processor, or an overclocked intel i3 processor (one of my guild mates has an overclocked i3 and has no problem with frame rates aside from the EXPECTED drops in specific areas)
I can confirm that the TITAN rocks in games like Tomb Raider, Splinter Cell Black Ops and the Witcher 2. And i got it fairly cheap, so thats why i have it.
Other parts of a computer have to be able to handle the content. Having the highest-end processor and GPU isn’t going to mean much in games if you have 1GB of the slowest RAM possible…
With that said though, it’s likely your processor holding you back. Need to know more specs though.
I have a 4,2ghz i7 3820, 8gb of memory and the titan card.. As i said, and said before, it runs smooth in every other game, except GW2, which is utterly utterly badly optimized and im an it-tech so i know my hardware.
Have you observed GPU and CPU usage?
Regardless of whether or not GW2 is unoptimized, something is holding it back, or is being utilized far more than it should be.
If I had to guess, during low-framerate situations, I would say the processor usage is around 80%+ on either most of your CPU cores, or one specific core, and GPU usage is below 40%.
Go to the Cave Troll cave in Queensdale with Vsync disabled (and without any events going on nearby; or use any small enclosed unpopulated area), and stare at a wall; framerate should be pretty good, and GPU usage should either be around or at 99%, which would indicate the GPU load shouldn’t be a problem.
Just to backup Avelos’s statement, my 7850 can also max out GW2, even on 5040×900 Eyefinity. My Phenom II X4 @ 3.3Ghz however struggles a bit, which leads to overall lower framerate.
Other games use totally different engines. Java-based Runescape (which barely uses my GPU) runs better on my computer at max quality than Crysis 3 (which kills my GPU with usage), but does that indicate Java on its own is really more-optimized than CryEngine 3? :p

Then tell me this: My GTX580 could do GW2 without problems ( spikes, drops etc) and the same day i inserted a prefectly good Titan card, it just runts. Then put the GTX580 back, no issues whatsoever
Have u tried enabling K-Boost on EVGA precision. It stops the card from downclocking, so it runs at GPU/Memory frequencies and votlages as if it were playing a game like crysis.
Aslo if u have any OSD overlays active, turn them off, somtimes they can cause issues. For example RivaTunerSS causes GW2 to fail to run when RTSS is set to High detection.

…Is your power supply able to handle the vast jump from the GTX 580 to the GTX Titan?
GTX Titan actually uses less power than the GTX 580 when running FurMark. Even peak gaming wattage the GTX Titan is only 10 watts more than the GTX 580.

Well then I guess power is not a problem lol
Can you run a 3dMark benchmark and list your score, and also what resolution are you at? Please also list your dxreport if you haven’t.
1920×1080.
I will. And i did do a loggin-session from GPUz. At max, the game utilizes around 1100MB of memory. It does load at its representative speeds to.
3dMark: Ive tested both latest versions, and thoose scores are perfectly fine. Just about 100 points below others, because of theirs cpu-speeds on the 3820 are a tad higher then mine( 4,4ghz, while im runnin at 4,2ghz)
And to add: Im testing a game called Take On Mars( currently in beta) and very 3D-rendered with rocks, surface etc. This runs smooth on ultra. So does Tomb Raider 2013, and Splinter Cell Black Ops.
And it seems, when i turn reflections ingame to Terrain and sky, things settle abit, about 25 + more fps. Ive read that Reflections- > ALL are a killer, as according to someone, theres apparently water everywhere under the surface in Tyria?
More:
I did some testing last night, fiddling with settings. I do run it at max ( reflections set to Terrain and sky) And in some areas.. the card pushes 140 fps.) Except in Lions Arch which is 30)
And in Tequatl, i do run on about 50-60-90 depending on what happens, that goes for the other dragon-bosses too). So it seems to have fixed itself by just fiddling with settings here and there.
Anyways, thanks for the help

Reflections will cause FPS issues when set on all.
However all other options can be maxed out , including SuperSampling.
i personaly run GW2 at 3200×1800 downsampled resolution with all settings (except reflections at T&S) Maxed with SuperSampling On, and my GPU can handle it no problems at all.
LA FPS lowest is around 45 (stronger CPU so manages higher FPS in crowded areas). VERY Busy Events and HUGE WvW zergs will drop as low as 20.
Culling settings are set to Chracter Limit: highest, texture LImit : Medium.
