Hey!
So all of a sudden (over the last few days) I’ve been getting intermittent game freezes and I have to Task Manager > Force Quit the client. Basically, the game will just stop – I can move the mouse around and click on things, but nothing happens on screen (animations freeze, buttons don’t click) etc. Like I’m trying to play with a screenshot open. It also occasionally freezes and recovers within a few seconds, but far more often it doesn’t.
Sometimes it happens within 10 secs of me logging in, sometimes it happens after a few minutes, but I haven’t been able to be on for longer than 10 minutes at a time. The task manager also doesn’t report that the game isn’t responding.
I’ve tried uninstalling and redownloading the client.
Anyone else getting similar symptoms? What should I do now? Is there any way of me collecting more information about why it’s freezing?

Hey that same things are happening to me

Its mostly a problem where your GPU is freezing. Make sure its not overclocked
and if you have NVidia try older drivers.

same. more freezing and crashes than usual since one of the more recent patches. i’m guessing we’ll be seeing another update soon eh? :P

I have been having short freezes quite often since one of the recent patches. My client never stays frozen completely, but it will freeze for a few seconds.

I hope a fix for this appears, just like the never-mentioned fix for rendering objects happened a few patches ago.

It’s possible the patch isn’t compatible with drivers for certain video cards. Try a different driver for your cards to see if that helps.

Haven’t played in over a week. Now since I updated, I’m seeing the same thing.

The game will suddenly just stop responding to keyboard commands. I can click on skills with my mouse, but the camera is unresponsive when trying to rotate it with the right mouse button. Sometimes if I alt-tab out of the game and back it clears, but I think it more of it just simply re-connects with the keyboard/mouse again after 30-40 seconds. Happens in both SPvP and PVE.

Doesn’t seem to trigger on anything. I’ll just lose control of my character. My character will keep running until it runs into something. Or I can’t move it at all. The game still happens around me. I can see my teammates doing stuff, but I simply cannot control my guy.

i am experiencing the same problem too, the screen will goes black but I can still hear game noises. I am currently running on Titan X

Had same problem. Solved by installing 347.09 NVidia drivers.

I think I may have figured out my issue. I think it had something to do with the Overwolf overlay. I’ve deleted and re-installed Overwolf, so we’ll see what happens. ( Also removed the GemFX stuff.)

I have no OverWolf, no Nvidia, nothing but this freezing after latest patch.

It’s something to do with the changes…either to the streamingclient, or something else.

Hopefully, it will get fixed when they fix the superspeed problem, cuz the character displays superspeed after the freeze, sometimes, as well as with every entrance to a map.

It hasn’t happened in the last week, but I have had it black out a couple of times and the music, when it plays, will get caught in the blackout and sound like a horrifying grunting noise of whatever few notes were playing at the time it froze. I usually have to reboot my computer manually. Which I dislike.

A few guildies of mine report the same.

My computer is still fairly new, so I doubt it’s a technical problem on my end. Especially if so many other are having the same problem.
