Guild Wars 2

Hello people,

I’ve started guild wars for a couple of days now and it went perfectly fine with the highest settings on the first day. But ever since the second day, 17/9/12, the game will randomly shut my computer down. I know many threads have been posted about this matter, my computer shouldn’t be overheating though, I’ve been using HWMonitor to observe the temperatures and they usually only go up to 60-65 degrees, which is considerably low.

My computer specs are:
Intel® Core™ i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHZ (8 CPUs), ~3.7GHZ
8192MB RAM
GeForce GTX 460

Is anyone able to identify the problem? :/

Try to limit the fps in game (60/30) instead of unlimited. Are you also running any overclocks?

How do I check if I’m running an overclock?
Also, for the FPS, I’m having an FPS around 66 is that okay?

You can check with either Cpu-Z or Hwinfo. There’s an ingame setting regarding Frames it’s defaulted to Unlimited try changing it to 60 or 30 see if still reboots. You also try to disable Automatic Restart on Windows ( Control Panel -> System -> Advance System -> Startup and Recovery -> untick auto restart.)

Edit : if possible can you attach your dxdiag ?

Nevermind now, I’ve lowered my settings to all medium + enabled v-sync, I also updated my graphics driver. It works now. Thanks for the help!

rety let me know if it’s still working for a whole play session. if all i have to do is turn down my settings i’ll be extremely happy.
