I’ve been contemplating of buying the Collector’s Edition and I was wondering wether I can attach the serial code of the Collector’s Edition to my account or if I have to stick to the Vanilla (normal) edition.
Does anybody know ?

If you mean the collector’s edition with the Rytlock sculpture, soundtrack, and a couple of other goodies, I don’t think you can get one anymore. However, I believe you can purchase the Digital Deluxe edition via the gem store.

I can if I buy one that hasn’t been opened yet from another person.
It’s not really a necessity for me to use the CE version of the game, I was just wondering if it’s an option.
Otherwise I will upgrade to DD instead.

You are allowed to upgrade your account. As the Collector’s Edition is just a DDE version with non-virtual goodies, I don’t see why not. But, to be sure, create a ticket and ask support. Then, you will be sure.

I am sure you can, heard people do this before. You just add the serial key to your account. Note that you cannot get the original key back for use in opening another account.

The sculpture alone is worth it, and yes you can apply the serial code from the CE, you have to contact support about it though..
