I use a laptop to play GW2 and on low settings the game is still pretty laggy. It doesn’t crush, just FPS are very low. Pehaps I should run the game after starting Windows 7 from a clean-boot as someone advised, maybe it helps. It’s worth to try. So how to configure msconfig to run my Win7 from a clean-boot with minimal services and items loaded into the memory but with my internet connection still preserved? I’ve browsed few tutorials but they speak of a complete disabling of services. Though, I still need my internet working, obviously.

I’ll be grateful for hints.

If it’s a clean format, make sure you have installed latest audio, graphics and chipset drivers, you can find them on the manufacturers website for your motherboard.

Also install the latest DX11 AS WELL as the DX9 runtime files. Disable system restore for all your drives.

I would check the compatibility options of your GW2 shortcut and make sure that compositing is off. Turning things like Aero Glass could help a bit as well.

@Zelta – done. Everything is the newest.
@KerrMD – I ran Aero to check for errors and it didn’t detect any issues with my gfx. I suppose my laptop is just too weak for this game anyway (browses for new pc builds)
