GW2 crashed now laptop slowmo?
How much free space do you have left on your hard drive? And what is the size of the hard drive.
Like my desktop has 950 GB free out of 1.35 TB
my OS_install (C:) has 1.18 GB left out of 118 GB but my Data (D:) has 518 GB left out of 913 GB
And the game is installed where?

Hello everyone, earlier today I was taking screenshots in GW2 but then there was no space left to store them so it gave me an error and when I clicked “ok” it closed GW2.
By default, GW2 stores its screenshots in your documents folder, which is under C:. At that moment, your drive must have been completely full.
Clean up your drive. Windows is likely struggling and beginning to use your other drive for temporary storage. For starters, disable hibernate, clear your %temp% folder (or use disk cleanup) and move your swap/page file to your other drive.
If the problem persists, check your CPU usage for a program that is using most of it.
I would also run Windows error-checker on the drive(s). The game may now be located on an iffy spot on the drive and retries are slowing it down.
But if it’s installed on the C drive. Free up some space man and run a defrag on it. Excessive disk seeks devastates read performance. And the defrag with Windows may skip large files like the game’s dat file so use a free 3rd party one like Piriform Defraggler or Auslogics DiskDefrag. Both can target a single file or folder.

Hey guys, thanks for the replies – making space in my C: drive fixed the issue
Also one last question – can I delete everything in temp or do I need to back them up or anything? (is the data there important?)
Everything within the %temp% folder should be safe to delete, though some of it may be in use by active programs. As its name implies, it’s meant to be a temporary storage location. Windows and the programs that use are bad at managing it however, bloating that folder over time.
I use CCleaner to vacuum my system of garbage files.
