“Guild Wars 2 has encountered an unrecoverable graphics driver error and must terminate.”

I’ve been getting this error in Lion’s Arch a few times and the game shuts down. I’ve been encountering more and more graphics issues where the game sort of blacks out like i minimized, and reappears after a second or 2. I don’t know what’s going on.

Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit
Prosessor: Intel Core i5-2450M CPU @ 2.50GHz (4 CPUs)
Memory: 8192MB RAM

DirectX 11
NVIDIA GeForce GT 520M

I would probably start by clearing your GW2 cache, but I’m no expert, so that could easily be pointless (worth a shot until a dev answers, Idk :P)

Try that and if it doesn’t work, you could always try the ~repair function.

Or you could try uninstalling and reinstalling the latest drivers for your vid card. That could help too.

How does one go about clearing one’s cache?

Do you have other programs running in the background that could make the game get minimized and (potentially) crash on return ?

I’m not sure if that post is referring to your local.dat file, but that is under /my documents/guild wars 2 I believe, otherwise, I have no idea on windows lol. We don’t typically have driver issues or anything like that… And even still we only have several fixes available to us ;p

I do hope you figure out what’s wrong, if not, check the sticky and submit a ticket.
