GW2 now randomly crashes
Are you experiencing a game crash or a Mac reboot? i am having an issue with random restarts of my computer when playing GW2 and was wondering if we are having a similar issue.

Just had this too. Was fighting at shatterer and it closed down. No lag or fps issues just quit within a few secs.

My rMBP does not restart – the game simply crashes and closes, and I’m left at the desktop.
If you’re running WvW a lot try changing your Character Model Quality to Lowest. It’s ugly but it’s prevented nearly all the crashes I’ve had in the past while in WvW.
I play pve and i have this problem aswel. Most of the time it’s in vigil keep or other places with a lot of players. But it will also crash once in a while with only a few or no other players around. I did not have this problem before the patch.
I am having the same issue. I thought it was my PC being old and decrepit
I have the same problem. I had it before the patch, like every few hours it crashed.. mostly connected to skill effects as far as I could figure it out. But after one of the latest patches I get a lot more crashes, like every 30-60 minutes. (Sometimes 5 in a hour and sometimes none in 4.. not really connected to player-mass I think)
And sometimes my video and sound is like freezing and I have some kind of video error where the screen splits into single pieces and changes when I move the mouse. Can’t really explain it any better since my english isn’t too good, but I don’t have such problems with any other game!
Could it be connected to nvidia or intel? I mean, my pc isn’t that up2date but can handle most actual games in low-middle settings and I have no fps problems whatsoever. I can’t really figure it out and it seems not to help changing the settings up.
