GW2 problem..
If you want to speed up your playing experience, you may need to turn down the graphics setting. This can be reached by done by
1) clicking on the ‘game menu’ (top left corner)
2) then click on ‘options’
3) then click on ‘graphics options’ tab
4) under ‘advanced settings’
5) click on the ‘setting presets’ and choose “best performance”
This should optimize your playing experience which will result in less lag and smoother gameplay at the expense of the graphical details.
hey and thanks for ur reply, it has nothing to do with my computer and performence got a alienware Aurora_r4
oh well, looks like there is no answer to this xD? nice i bought a game for 60 euro that dosen’t seem to Work correctly :/ playing wow, steam games, titanfall crysis and so on, on highest options that is possible and running it with no problems.. my specs are.
Alienware Aurora_R4
2x NVIDIA Geforce gtx 680
12 core – Intel® Core™ i7- 3960x CPU @ 3.30 GHz
32 gb ddr3 ram.
Windows 7 ultimate -64-bit.
if this help.
Would be realy nice with any help, since i can’t play the game at all with this huge delay :/
Doesn’t care about your hex core (the other 6 HT cores are phantoms and best case in practice does the same thing as a mild overclock would) the game barely 3 cores of processing power.
Doesn’t care about dual video cards. GPU performance isn’t the limiting factor in this game.
Doesn’t care about 32gb of system memory. It’s a 32-bit app and while on a 64-bit OS it could use 4GB, I rarely see it above 2GB.
The game engine isn’t built to maximize frame rate and it’s likely 6 year old already. So comparing it to modern FPS games is pretty pointless.
But what you are describing is straight forward lag in which case you need to talk to actual support rather than players. Click on the support link and then click on the submit a request link found on the top right.
Otherwise this will just be another of a series of threads with players complaining about lag but aren’t willing to do anything to help solve the problem.
RIP City of Heroes
Right, thanks for ur reply, i have submit a request now and hope they will help me out fast^^
make sure you have a decent connection. ping is not too high etc.
if you are downloading something then pause it when you are playing.
Sounds like a problem with your Internet Service Provider for me.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
how come? i mean like i said, i play wow, steam games, titanfall crysis whatever with no problems at all.

Do you know how the internet works ?
If there for example is a traffic jam to New York and you need 1 hours for 5 miles you can maybe still drive to Boston with 100 miles per hour brcause there is no traffic jam.
Now the internet is also like roads to 1000s different places and maybe somewhere to the GW2 servers there is traffic jam .. however you go over different roads to your WoW Servers and there the roads are all free.
Personally i also had big lags after release with the German Telekom. I used a VPN that routed the traffic a different way .. and the lag was gone.

well.. it cannot be my connection so, since all the games i have played, like u say have different “roads” besides, i play on a eu serever and not on a US, and im from eu.. i could understand the huge delay if i were playing on US servers..
but then Again, maybe u are right about my connection i dont know, how do i change that ?
