Guild Wars 2

Anyone else having game client connection issues? The game continually lags and then drops me from the game client. I have been experiencing this issue for almost 2 weeks now. I am on an ASUS G75VW with Fiber connection 35/20 at the moment 38ms Ping. Normally, I am higher than this with 50/30 connection and 18ms ping.

I am getting these results while the game is figuring out whether it wants to drop me or not. I can not make it through story events thanks to this error. It seems to occur more often in story mode than at any other point in the game, be it dungeons or casual exploration.

Code=7:11:3:189:101 continues to happen during story mode quest Forging the Pact, same area, same sequence on events. It has happened 5 times now. I am going to assume that this event is bugged?

I get 0% packet loss there deltaconnected…

I know my connection is excellent. the lowest I have seen my connections speeds were 20/15 and 50ms png. That is way beyond what is and should be needed to push/pull info for this game, for that matter any game.

I just started experiencing the exact same issue on my charr engi. was in game for maybe 5 mins tops. Everything else is fine. No lag tho all works fine then boom char select. Other games are fine and my internet does not drop, just says client lost contact with the server.
BTW i played all last night until about 4am and not a single d/c. So if there was a patch i would have seen it d/l. This is happening in the plains of ashford where the crafting stations are

Zorath…same issue here, started happening during the Halloween events. I only notice the problem during story event quest. I just stopped to give my mind a break, so I have not tested it out while exploring the world, though there were problems during the Halloween event is world exploration. This has happened 5 times in the past hour though.

Wanted to add i ported to Dissea plains and have not gotten d/c’d at all

Open up a command prompt as admin and try
>ping -f -l 1472 guildwars2.com
(lower case L)

If it says it needs to be fragmented, check your router’s MTU setting (eg. set it to what your ISP says, or 1472-1492 for DSL/Fiber and 1500 for cable).

I check out, I only seem to have the problem within story events.

I get same issues disconnecting like every 30 seconds but not every day just sometimes
and i know my net is all right.Are there issues with server connections?

I have no problem connecting. It really does seem limited to when I am in story instances

its now happening on my Silvari rogue. Upper part of the forest where the ruins are, only started when i did my lvl 8 story quest
I noticed im tryin to port to the upper commons area of the city and it crashes with the disconnect error as soon as i do

I experience a disconnect within 30 minutes of being in the Dredgehaunt Cliffs zone. Have a few small lag spikes and then everything freezes up and I get sent to the character select screen.

Does not seem to be happening in any other zones for me so far.

Strange that most of the reports are that it happens in specific places for people. Perhaps there’s a common denominator shared by all of the locations that it is happening in?

I’ve had this issue off and on since I bought the game. Doesn’t happen every day or even on the same map/instance. First indication I get that it’s going to disconnect is my skills lag. I can move about fine I can see others apparently having no problems I.e. still using skills but I can’t, the buttons just flash. I can’t talk to npc or farm resource nodes or use waypoints but I can type in chat. Seconds later I get bumped to the character selection screen with the “client disconnect” error message. Try as I might I can’t then get that map to work for that particular game session.

I hate to say it, but customer support has not been helpful with this. Despite there being a thread with instructions for reporting this issue they seem to be dumbfounded as if the thread and issue didnt exist. They asked me to download two programs testing my connection which revealed no problems and then sent me another program. I have used 5 programs now to test my connection speed, latency and configuration. I am sure it isn’t my connection.

As I said, I am reporting 0% packet loss, on a FIBER connection with average speeds 30/30mbps and an average ping of 20ms. I play DCUO, WOW, GW2, BF3, Borderlands 2 and the only game that has this spike in lag is Guild Wars 2.
