Hello, I posted here awhile ago but didnt get much help and because I was getting hard drive critical error crashes in dungeons and couldnt check my hard drive for errors since it always said it was in use. I finally rebooted my pc brand new and planned to redownload the game because repairing it didnt help any to find out if it would fix the issue or if it was truely a hardware issue on my end. First issue was my ethernet device was gone… so i downloaded it from the internet on a USB device on an older computer im currently using and playing on and transfered it, now internet works. This is my next problem……. /sigh

I’m having the same issue. Worked fine until a few hours ago.

Waiting for a response back from the game crash report.

Hi! Had this problem a while ago and found solution – if you use Mumble start GW2 first ( in game, not launcher), then Mumble
@Edit: Or deactivate Mumble overlay

Yeah, unfortunately, I don’t use Mumble…so that won’t work…
Thanks for the input though!

Same issue here. I also don’t use mumble.

GW2 works on another of my PCs, but not on this one. Having scanned other forum posts like this one, I suspect you’ll be asked to run dxdiag on your computer and/or http://us.ncsoft.com/gameadvisor/.

(as per https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/tech/Serious-error-has-occurred-preventing-the-program-to-run-Help and https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/tech/A-serious-error-has-occurred)

Any advice on how to fix this would be awesome!

Without a full crash log (please attach it, don’t post it) its hard to tell what the exception is. c00000005 is such a generic error. It could be as simple as making sure the game is running with administrator privileges.

Xyssi – Asura Guardian
Xystus Furtim – Human Theif

As Xystus.3241 said, Access Violation errors can be caused by a whole lot of things. We really need more information to even get an idea of what is causing it.
