Guild Wars 2

This has been a problem since the last patch, my game client has started hanging and does not seem to connect to the log in server to allow me to log in. My firewall allows the website through, and it was working up until the patch.

Did not work, just sat on testing Direct X for 30 minutes. This program works fine on my other computer.

Finally worked after a reboot, I have attached the file as asked. As said before GW2 works on my wife’s machine just fine. I reloaded the game the other day, and it worked basically until I rebooted it. I even played this morning for a few minutes, then I turned off my machine then it stopped working again.

Can you monitor your laptops temp? Also is UAC enabled?

@Yenkin, I still have this problem and responded to a post on Reddit about it and mentioned that some people have had luck by either reverting from the 306.23 to the earlier beta driver everyone was using 304.73, or by reinstalling the 306.23 driver and the OP was able to get that to work for him as well.

I see from the Game Advisor report that you’re using an NVIDIA GPU so you might want to give it a try. I know how frustrating this problem can be. I haven’t personally tried this yet because I’ve been busy but it’s at the top of my list of things to try at this point.

If do decide to try that, try uninstalling the driver first, then installing the new one instead of just installing over it.

I found the issue, GW2 will not run if I just click the icon, I have to go into the folder and right click and “Run as Administrator”. Works fine, Not sure how this happened or even how to fix it but at least I can play. If some one knows why or how to fix let me know.
