Well, its about time I posted something on here for myself.

The amount of Disconnects and Game Crashes while in large populated areas is ridiculous. It has to be an internal Error from you guys. I will be attaching my Diagnostics test that i’ve seen so much about.. Hopefully this will help the server resolve the issue

well.. still no reply… I guess Anet has no idea about this issue…

I’m still having the issue. Nothing has changed. Ran diagnostics on my laptop and have triple checked if it’s my ISP. neither of which are the issue im told, updated my router and modem, and cleaned my PC. Still no fixes. I’ve done everything I can on my end, now I think it’s Anet’s Issue.

I’m having similar issues. In large zergs I can barely play for a couple minutes, in dungeon groups I typically crash once or twice every hour.

same here, more then once, large populated areas like jormag always near below 25% hp it crashs, yesterday after hour of waiting for teq at BG server, then near 25% hp it crashed, I try to log back as fast as I could but it die after Im back in, so… no chest for me, what a waste of time

same here……….it happened to me before, I know I am not changing anything on my computer because it probably will be fixed in upcoming patch again
it is getting worse though, I dc in the zergs, but also in LA, makes it kinda impossible to play

Seems to happen very frequently and consistently on my laptop when I run into large train groups and generally intensive world boss encounters. Repairing the game files doesn’t help, but I have sent the data many times.

I have the same problem. Either crash – > send report or disconect
I cant finish scarlet invasion without crash or disconect
I cant finish jormag fight without crash or disconect
I cant finish the whole fractals without crash or disconect

Because of that I dont even bother with Tequatl fight

I’ve been having the same problem here too since my server has recently been on high population.

I can barely play the game since I keep getting the same crash and send report messages!

Think we might have to stop playing til the patch… or pray anet put a patch out this week

This might seem unrelated, but have you tried adding the guild wars 2 files (gw.dat gw.exe) to the exception list in your anti-virus program?

Could you post a crash log? It should be under My Documents\Guild Wars 2\ArenaNet.log or something like that.

yep, did that long ago.

I’m pretty sick of all these crashes now… can’t run TEQ, WVW, Dungeons, parking in Lion Arch, random areas of maps consistently crashing.

I did repair 10+ times.. reinstalled twice.. copied a friends DAT file and it still crashes my game consistently.

Are you running any 3rd party software. Especially any Teamspeak 3 plugins??? Some of these cause my game to crash.

stock for TS3, mumble, and ventrilo (overwolf disabled). Issue still occurs when only the game is running with no background applications running.

Not overclocked
fresh install of Windows 7 64bit
Windows updated
antivirus disabled
Windows Firewall Disabled
Updated drivers for all hardware components
RAID 0 on Samsung SSDs (cloned to a single SSD and HDD and crashes still occur on both)
Triple Screen SLI setup on dual GTX 780s (avg usage on GW2 is 60% to 85%)
VSYNC off to combat micro stutter
Core i7 3960X running stock at the moment
32GB of memory (left pagefile on and off but crashes still occur)

I cannot remember the exact date I was having issues because I just dismissed it back then thinking it was a one off issue, but I do remember the update to TA had already been deployed.

I’ve essentially ran out of things to troubleshoot so I’m on here hoping that the developers provide a fix in the next update to fix these terrible crashes issues that everyone is having.

I only have 3 thoughts off the top of my head. Try older video card drivers. If you have DEP enabled make sure GW2 has an exception. Try resetting your bios to default to make sure all ram timings and such go back to safe settings.

If you reset the bios, make sure to write down any custom settings before doing so, so you can gradually reintroduce any needed changes.

I’ve had this issue so much so that I can’t even play, at all! I’ve done everything I can on my end to ensure that it is NOT me or my ISP. I’m booted off the server at least four times a day. If anyone has anything to help or Anet gets back w you about this issue please let me know.

Since the Scarlet update, my game crash to Send Report in big zergs.
Scarlets Zergs, WvW zergs, it’s unplayable. Man, I just changed my graphic settings from best performance to low performance then auto-detect, and the game crashed.

And now in mad king labyrinth zergs, I crash every minute.

I think I crash with zergs since the removal of culling, is it possible ?

Edit: I was one driver away from the last one, I did not crash in labyrinth zerg for 30 minutes! Luck or fixed, I don’t know.

Have the same problem, I get disconnected alot lately (since this week, before patch)

Don’t get your hopes up too much. This particular issue has been ongoing for a long time, and Anet hasn’t even bothered to acknowledge it. They don’t care, or can’t fix it and won’t say so.

Ive also been having issues – wierdly though I only seem to be affected on one of my characters. Annoyingly though its my level 80 one with every area unlocked. Im getting logged in but then select that character and try to log in and it all falls down. I thought initially it was just lions arch (where i had been stuck at the loading page for 3 days solid) but managed to get into the labyrinth briefly the other day and then got stuck with that loading page instead, so it doesnt seem isolated.

I have a support ticket currently being looked at, initial diagnostics run and 2.5 hours of logging using pingplotter today across 2 different characters.

will let you guys know if any fix comes of it. Fingers crossed.

Its most annoying as my level 40 character doesnt have the permanent harvesting stuff so I keep running out mid mine. Cant do Scarlet as ive only got 2-3 maps unlocked on that character as well.

I’ve spoke too fast. It was just luck. Updating drivers did nothing at all. Crashed in WvW as soon as I joined a zerg. And on low settings instead of high, just for the sake off trying something else. This never happened in the first year since release (even in beta), what happened !??

I played in window mode and I was able to play 4-5 hours of intense big zerg WvW!
I don’t understand why it did not crash. lol

But at the same time, I disabled High res character option, will test with it enabled and still window mode tomorrow.

Ok, thanks to my guildies, they told me to put the game at low settings (especially shadows and shaders) even if the game looks less beautiful, and to play in window mode. The mix of the two works. I can play 6 hours straight of intense Zerg WvW without a crash. I was so close to uninstall the game and move on to other games, so I guess that this problem should be important to Anet if they don’t want to lose customers because of these crashes.

I had been getting weird crashes since flame and frost that got worse with the changes to culling and I fixed it by muting the game. Turned all the sound sliders to zero and muted the game in windows sound mixer. If this helps you, I demand a highfive.

I have been running minimum settings in windowed mode and it hasn’t helped the issue at all. It just delays it a bit farther. My Computer is not crashing, freezing or anything. I am not running anything in the background. no sound anyways. Am forced to run teamspeak off of my iphone. so.. idk what else i can do.

I’m having the same problem, the game gives me a .exe error and crash.

My pc is a I5 3400GHz, whit 8GB memory and a radeon HD7870, i’ve tryed to lower the res, but still crashes constantly, expecialy in WvW and in places whit a lot of people playing.

I’ve also tryed to make the repair file, but still the same problem happens.

can anyone help???

It still looks like Anet is ignoring the issue and proceeding with 2 week content updates that aren’t effecting the overall system of the game. sucks to suck i guess.

I asked for a crash log a while ago and you never responded. It can be found under

%APPDATA%\Guild Wars 2\ArenaNet.log

Might help figure out why you are crashing.
