Whenever i open the launcher the game just crashes and the error says something like “Memory could not be written”.

Any help is appreciated,

The issue is d3d9.dll.

You can use Google to look up ways to fix that issue, or, again, contact the CS Team.

If you are using any 3rd party programs, or programs associated with your graphics card, disable or remove them.

Greeting again everyone,

So after a few hours i’ve decided to try to solve this problem and even though i’ve tried really hard to solve it i cannot find a way to solve my problem with the d3d9.dll file and i considering it’s the DX9 dll file i’ve checked other games to see if it was just with guild wars or not and have found out it’s just with GW2 and i cannot find a way to solve it.

Ok, asked about using 3rd party programs awhile back. Turn it off.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart when you mentioned 3rd party software i never though about riviatuner because i’m just so used to it being there xD

I’m happy the problem is solved. =)

You can try updating your RivaTuner, and test it periodically. Seems to be an issue with Win10 and third-party programs (especially graphic card ones).
