Guild Wars 2

Just bought the game today after seeing it on Twitch at PAX. When i go to download the game it starts downloading at about 30-50 KBs and drops to 0 KBs in about 10 seconds. If i leave it open for a long time it says lost connection to server or something along those lines. I am wondering if the servers are getting hammered today after the PAX announcement or if something is wrong. I run no anti Virus and i have tried turning off Windows firewall already. I have ran it as Administrator and also tried running in windows 7 compatibility mode and that also does not help.

Having the same problem, just dies out right away.

Hey guy think I found the solution in another forum post, rename the install gw2 create a shortcut, right click the shortcut and go to properties, from there add to the end of the target box -assetsrv 151.249.90.138:80

I had to use this one -assetsrv 62.154.232.187:80 Downloading at 3mb’s now.

I tried multiple times to download this and it would start at 50kbps and then within seconds drop to 0kbps and stay there.

Using the above method works perfectly!

Man, between this and it taking 3 hours just to get my game code, really not a great first impression…
