Guild Wars 2

I’m downloading game on MAC client. It’s been 12 hours now and it is only on 24%!!! Average speed is 125 KB/sec and my connection can handle 3 times as much.
Why so slow???

I did notice this as well.
Just FYI, if you already have it installed via bootcamp or wine or something like that, you can copy the .dat file over (someone else posted instructions in these forums) it makes it a lotttt faster.

Are you sure??? I dont want to mess it up so I have to do it all over again!

My download is going fairly quick, 1mb/s (which is my usual speed…)
But I’ve already got GW2 on my desktop PC.
So now I’m wondering, am I able to copy the .dat file over to my mac, or?

I did the copy GW2.dat from bootcamp and it works.

Yeah I never had bootcamp on my mac seeing as I only use my mac for college/art and my PC for gaming/the rest…
But if it works for you I might as well try it instead of waiting 3/4 hours for the download to finish. >.<

I gave PC to my mom I installed bootcamp only for GW2. I have no need for windows otherwise.

fast download took me less than a minute to download and install, only part that is taking a while is updating which makes sense
