Guild Wars 2

I got home from work and downloaded whatever the new build was.

Tried to log in, Character select never fully loads.

I see my Character’s names. the area where the character usually shows up is completely black. no music or sound.

then the game freezes, and the only way to get out of it is to shut down my computer and reboot.

I’ve been trying to log in for about an hour and a half now. making this post, and going to bed.

I played fine earlier today before work. but now it does not load correctly. every other game on my computer runs just fine, and I have no issues with internet access. the only thing that does not run is Guild Wars 2.

black character select screen. freezes my entire computer.

Same problem with startup, doesn’t crash computer though. I can ctrl-alt-del out of it and get to task manager, where it shows GW2 as “not responding”. Was fine until patch today, nothing else on my system or settings has changed.

Uninstall (try disable but that usually doesn’t work) your internet “security” software and try again.
