Randomly (around 1-2) times per day im having a disconnect from the game, and cant enter the website or forum for about 3-5minutes. This happens only to gw2 client and website, browser works fine on everything else and connection on Diablo3 for example remains perfect. Everything’s fine about your servers guys ?

The servers are fine. It’s your route to the servers that is the problem.

The ability to connect to something else only shows that you have an internet connection. The routes you take to different places are likely going to be very different. Somewhere along the route, something is failing. This is where you want to constantly run a trace to catch where it is so that you can either work around it (use a VPN to reroute your connection) or complain to your ISP to forward the complaint to the source. Use PingPlotter for example.

I had a similar problem today (was able to get to the forum however), when starting up the game client, the program did the original splash screen download, and then kept going into “connection error detected” type of problem. It finally self resolved after restarting enough, or else the issue was fixed while I was restarting.

Wrong (for todays’ patch). It is entirely on Anets’ side.

i am having the same issue as Lyssan right now.
My game client is having trouble updating itself (it’s going down to 0 or 1 kB/s or displaying the red error message about the connection).
Even accessing the forum is taking forever.
i am in France.

Hey Winderly, I’m having the same problem.

At first I thought it was a DNS issue. If you open up the command prompt (type “CMD” into search bar) and then run as admin, you can type in the following commands:

ipconfig /releasel
ipconfig /all
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /renew
netsh int ip set dns
netsh winsock reset

If that doesn’t work, it’s not your router. ANET have a support page here:

The first suggestion is part of the DNS issue above. The second is changing the server you’re trying to connect to. I tried it, doesn’t work. Must be a server issue…

This is happening to me right now. Took me ages just to get here to post this. Sucks too because I was on the final boss of a lvl 50 fractal when everything just stopped. Hope it gets fixed soon. :/

You don’t need an account to look at a twitter page by the way. And since it seems the forums were having issues, it makes sense to have another fast method to communicate the situation.
