Hey guys i live in the UK and am having some real issues with logging in i’ve checked my details so they are all correct but am getting an error message up…. "the game client is unable to gain access to the log-in server at this time, this is most commonly caused by firewall or router settings,security applications, or connecting through a campus network yada yada " also i have a code at the bottom of screen … build 71599
error code 42:0:9001:4402, i’ve been playing since launch on my settings so i know they are ok can anyone help me resolve this

Looks like the servers are down.

Same here. I am in Switzerland, trying to login, cannot. Server connection problem. Anyone with information?

Update for info: I can now login and enter the game, however, without the new build. Lunar still here and no new LS.

There is a poweroutage problem caused by storm. Anet systems effected by this like whole area where they are. But, they are trying everything up and working. So, except this time to time for a few days.

have tried a full re install still have same issue, also delete Eve online incase of software clash SOBS GW2 after all these years you abandon me dervish are you in U.K?

Servers are down getting “connection error retrying”!

It is not only in the U.K. It is also happening in France, Switzerland, Holland and others. From what I know, there was no need for re-installation or any such big action(s). It is on Anet side and for us players, a matter of patience only. In my case and many other guildies, out of which two in the U.K., it was suddenly possible to enter the game again during morning. The only thing is that we are still with the Lunar build. This is not the build with the new LS story episode.

Just to share: When I did log on some minutes ago, I got the red text about connection error re-trying. This happened while I was on the phone so I let it go on screen untouched. After a while, I looked at my screen while still talking on the phone: I suddenly saw the red text disappearing and the logon went further trouble free. It confirms that you should “just” be patient and let it go. Good luck.

Mine and a few others in my guild had this this morning trying to log. restarted it several time then finally let it go with the error connecting to server retrying about 15 minutes later it connected and we were able to log. I hope when patch launches we don’t have this same problem and the patch is stuck on the download. Most of us are in the US.
