Guild Wars 2

I get crashed at login each time i try to lunch the game, this has happened after update build at 3/9/2015, thanks for help.

The problem has been solved for me after i delete folder “Guild wars 2” from path “c:/Users/%Username%/Appdata/Roaming/Guild wars 2”.

I too am now having this problem. The update before started periodically crashing but now I am just plain old crashing upon starting the game.

Rack another user with the same issue.

I go to log on, Game freezes either at black screen after login, or at Char selection screen with I note Zero FPS being reported from Nvidia Shadow Play. More Nvidia Problems I wonder?

I’m having the same issue. Crash basically as soon as i hit play/

I am crashing to desktop as well after today’s patch when I try to log into a character in the loading screen.

The OP is having memory issues. So unless you all are having memory issues, you should post the error log that they are getting.

If you don’t get an error log, you aren’t having the same issue.

OP, you are running out of memory on the game alone. Something is causing it, since GW2 never hits that normally.

Thanks to you i could pinpoint the problematic file on my computer.
The game launcher obviously has trouble with :
c:/Users/%Username%/Application Data/Guild wars 2/Local.dat

If i move that file away, the launcher stops crashing as soon as i try to run it.
But it redownloads a 9.7 MB Local.dat file and puts it in this directory, then crashes again.
What in hell is the game launcher trying (and failing) to do with this file ?

i tried the “Gw2.exe -repair” parameter, it doesn’t do anything.

i also have this problem since 3 september’s game update.

Today i updated my graphics drivers (nvidia), that didn’t change a thing(the game launcher still doesn’t work).
