Other missions in the final chapter seem to be no problem. One of my chars is at “Against the Corruption” and he is doing fine, but six others are at the final mission and they all crash the client directly upon trying to access the Story Journal.
Correction: the crash only occurs for those who actually had the Personal Story active. Those who were in a Living Story chapter for achievements have no problem, even though they are at the critical last mission in their Personal Story.
Well,… while we’re here.. why don’t we form groups to complete Arah story mode. It’ll take us less time to do the instance than for anet to fix the bug.
add my name to the list suffering this crash. not only crashes the game, but is crashing windows as well. it happened to me when i quit the first episode of the story.
Nixie Lightfingers, Asura thief. Personal story is “Victory or Death”, completed up to current episode of Living Story. Have not restarted any previous episodes for achievements.
Uncle Fung, Asura Engineer. Personal story is “Victory or Death”, also completed all episodes of Living Story up to the current, Tangled Paths. Haven’t restarted any previous episodes for achievements.
My newest character, Lepanthes Orchidas, a Sylvari Messmer hasn’t progressed past the personal story “The Teachings of Ventari” yet but I can access the story journal just fine. All other characters have completed their personal stories as well and I don’t experience any lockups with them.
Edit: Lockup also occurs when I click on the green star in the upper right corner to try and open story journal that way.

Upon release for this Living Story I was able to complete it for the first time without issue.
When I tried to access the Story Journal tab to replay for the achievements, it has crashed every single time. The game becomes unresponsive and eventually fails. I can press H and look at every other tab except the Story Journal tab.
Personal Story step-wise, I am sitting on Victory or Death.

on my notebook the game starts without any problems but the client freezes at the very beginning while trying to start GW2 on my desktop PC, then after about 5 minutes the message: “Connection errors detected. Retrying..” shows up….
