Hey guys,

I am having problems with guild wars loading up, the client is fine but the game goes black screen as it should but seem to then crash and go untitled. I do not know if it is due to the new update or not, but I have been playing since release and have not had a problem, but now cannot run the game.

It stops before I can get to character selection when the screen comes up.

Any suggestions ?

do you start the game as admin ?

right click on the shortcut and choose [run as administrator]

is the client starts auto repair after crash ? i think they added repair tool after the last patch

I haven’t tried that yet, but no it doesn’t repair itself it sits there as the guild wars tab, but has untitled as the tabs name, I check SM and it says not responding and I have to close it that way, but it never crashes or closes down just doesn’t respond after the client has finished and loaded the game.

something prevent the game to start normally .what antivirus/antispyware you are using ?

I have Bullguard, but it is closed when I play games so I don’t think it’s that. I’m confused on what it could be because nothing have changed on my computer

I have been having these exact problems. It feels like every loading screen has a 50% chance to just get stuck. I have been told that my characters have appeared in the world and I can hear music playing.

Lets see what I have tried…

-repair
-clinetport80
Disabling firewalls
Run as administrator
Run in Compatibility mode
Updating drivers
Disabling start up programs (in msconfig)
Deleting the guild wars 2 cache
Reinstalling the whole game
Checking GW2 ports are opened / DMZ

None of these have worked
If you can think of anything else I can try please let me know
Would be great if a dev could comment on this issue

I’m having this issue as well. I DC’d at least 10 times, either in Lion’s Arch or in dungeons. GW2 cannot connect to log-in server, etc. I tried running on Admin, turning firewalls off, etc.

I know that it’s just the load up and then it will be fine but I can’t do it so idk what’s happened.

restart the router and do a diagnose to the network interface ( it cleans and refresh all netwrok settings ) if win vista and later or repair for xp

I think I’m going to retry downloading my graphics driver

The patch notes said they fixed a bug where the loading screens would end too soon, I know the problem isn’t the same, but is it any better since the patch?
