Guild Wars 2

Game allows me to login, and it looks like the game is going to open, but it sits there for a few seconds and then closes with no error. I was able to run it last night with no issues, so not sure what is going on. Is there a command to do a check on the .dat file?

im having the same problem, is it error code 11:1001:2:1524?

Jade, you’re having a different issue it seems. Not to mention, you posted on the mac forums, you may not find the help here relevant to you depending on the situation or suggestions given if you are on a Mac.

Razinth, please post your complete system specs. But have you tried deleting the local.dat file under my documents/guild wars 2?

Seems like many people are also having this problem… Which makes me happy since if one person figures out the fix then it’ll likely help the others

I just deleted the local.dat file, but made no difference. I also ran the it with the -repair and it did not make a difference. Systems been working great for a long time, no idea why it is not working now. Trying to re-download the game to see if that makes a difference.

I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, didn’t make a difference.

My guess is one of the latest patches changed something such that something’s no longer working as intended. I can play on my desktop, but not my laptop, so it’s definitely something to do with how the client interacts with our computers. Not a techy guy though so it’d be impossible to figure out what’s going wrong.

My issue appears to be resolved. I installed a new version of it and it is running fine now. Not had a chance too, but I think it may have something to do with my hard drive, will be doing a full Check Disk tonight on it to verify.

An update did not cause my problem, there were no updates between when it worked and it did not.
