I would like to see about getting the wardrobe skins back for two items I purchased in the gem store previous to the wardrobe update. The two items are the Primeval armor set and the festive hat. Since I lost these before the update, I don’t have the skins for them.

I don’t want it to seem like I’m demanding them back or anything like that, because I’m really not trying to sound that way. I understand that you’ve probably seen this sort of question a lot. It just seems to me that since I bought these items for full price when they came out, that it’s reasonable that I should have access to the skins for them, just like someone who bought them after the update would have.

If you keep records of gem store purchases per account, it will show that I’ve purchased them before the wardrobe update. I spend quite a bit of my real life money on this game, but if nothing can be done about it, I do understand.

It appears nothing can be done. Well, if it’s something they really have no control over then I guess that’s that, I can’t fault them for it. Unfortunately It will make me think twice about spending any more money on guild wars 2.

Although it seems like it would be easy for them to see that I spent money on the skins and resend them to me, it’s not something I’m going to stress over.

If you peruse the Knowledge Base (accessed via the ‘Support’ link above/below), you will find in the Wardrobe article released at the time of the Wardrobe implementation, that any lost Gem Store skins would be unable to be replaced. Thus, I don’t think it is a matter of records, but of the tech.
