Thats likely more due to your bank rather than it being a debit card. I have no problem with my banks debit visa.

But my regular credit card from the same bank did it.

Yeah i have the same problem with my card, it says “Card approval failed. Please check your card details and try again” although the details are correct it doesnt go through.

There have been issues reported on this forum connected with debit cards. Credit cards or card with debit AND credit have not been reported to have issues.
So yes, it could be the debit card.

Credit Card on this end and it states *Card Approval failed, Please check your card details and try again". So your not alone.

I am also getting “card approval failed, please check your card details and try again” with a card I’ve used previously to buy gems. My best friend also could not buy gems yesterday with a card he used previously. My card is a debit Visa.

While this issue is occurring for you, you could create a paypal account and link your visa debit to it, then use paypal for gemstone.
