Getting frustrated with never ending crashes

The crashing is caused by the process running out of memory. Not sure what is causing that; however, seems this can happen if the graphic settings are maxed out.
Try changing reflections to “Terrain and Sky” and the WvW settings to “Medium” and see if that helps. Or you can just use the dropdown and choose “Auto detect” and see if that prevents crashing.
If it doesn’t, please list what your settings are for that.

It’s on auto-detect. And that graphics card should have no trouble with the settings in this game.
For those specific things you listed, the settings are All and High

I love wvw and wouldn’t want a fellow raller to be denied his wvw fix.
please try my suggestions.
you said Windows 7 is in a separate ssd by itself. is it a clean install when you put the system togther? or was it leftover from another system/processor?
download/install process lasso and have it automatically force gw2 into high/realtime priority whenever it loads.
primo cache can improve your ssd performance but you should use crystal disk to find out how your ssd is performing. sometimes ssd can lose performance from to many formats. you may want to look into a.secure erase program for your ssd.

Its not an issue with the card, but with the processes. It is a 32-bit processes and is hitting a cap. Lowering some of the settings will use less memory.

Yea this is a clean install, nothing left over from a different build or anything. I’ll give that Lasso a try, see if that can help.
I’ll re-run Crystal Disk too, though last time I ran it was working fine.

Thats odd…. My system is using a 64 bit windows, that seems a little out of place.
And as for memory, both my video card (1.5GB) and system memory (8GB at 1600MHz using a 7-8-7-24 T2 command rate) are more than enough for any game out there at this time. What you’re suggesting seems to be a memory leak in the game, which would match up with what I read every time I go into the crash log of what it’s supposedly sending to Anet and with what I’m monitoring at the same time. Memory usage is all normal and then at one point during the game play, huge memory spike, crash.
Also, to point out, I’ve tried the game out in best performance settings and still have crashed due to the same OOM line.
Edit – I’ll try for the last time to delete the local.dat file and then run a repair but this is getting annoying.

The game itself(as most applications) are actually 32bit applications running on 64bit operating systems.
—> Process Memory <—
Private: 3118MB (memory used, but can include what is in the page file)
WorkingSet: 3045MB (allocated)
PeakWorkingSet: 3045MB (max allocated)
PageFaults: 67316255
It maybe trying to push everything into physical memory; which is more than windows is allocating.
Normally, I run on “Auto-detect” and rarely go that high. Usually in the 1500MB range. Something maybe causing a leak under certain conditions.
This is a limit based on 32-bit applications, not what you physically have available.

TURN OFF YOUR OVERCLOCK!
If you aren’t willing to do that to troubleshoot this problem…then good luck solving the crash problem.
Only sharing my experience:
Guild Wars 2 is fantastic at crashing my cpu if the OC is not stable; chiefly raising vcore.
Any chance you can slam some more vcore on ur 4.7 to see if that helps or even lowering either?
I use i7 3770k 4.5ghz vcore approx 1.35 with LLC Very High

Already tried that, didn’t affect it one bit. Just to make sure, I tried it recently too, had no effect either. The computer itself is not crashing, just the Guild Wars 2 client.

I just tried that yesterday (only upping it as I can’t lower it without having an unstable overclock), but can’t WvW for a little while to see if this might be the culprit. However, I don’t know if this will solve my issue as my CPU or computer is not crashing. Only the Guild Wars 2 client. Thanks for the tip though, I’ll certainly give it a try.

Ok so, I have now:
1. Re-installed windows twice.
2. Turned on and off my overclock and tried multiple variations of clocks.
3. Re-installed GW2 3 times, run repairs 4 times.
4. Removed and replaced RAM to 2 different kinds of RAM (that was expensive).
Still crashing and now it happens in PvE with the Karka Queen last night. This seems to happen whenever there is a large amount of people. Who/where can I turn to to get some help as this is starting to take too much of my personal time changing multiple things on my computer to try to find this issue to enjoy this game.
