Getting kicked events on mac
Try picking a portal AWAY from the main plaza and mystic forge. It’s probably just your client not being able to cope with loading so many people at once. Load into the southern most waypoint – having to do a little walking is worth not crashing I think.
yea this is probably coz of how cider is limiting the client with only 4gb ram. i’m getting these crashes everyday in crowded events when my settings are high. actually happened to me once the last time when i set everything to low too. ;/

Just curious: When you crash, do you get an error message? What does it read?
I’m definitely not a Mac expert, but I think it would be useful to include any info about the error message in case that helps the devs nail down a possible fix. Thanks!

I have a 2011 i7 with 6970 2GB, 24Gb RAM, and factory SSD. I used to crash in Lions Arch around large groups and sometimes as I approached waypoints in the world. Actually made me quit playing for a long period of time because I didn’t like playing in Parallels (but there were no crashes in Win7)..
To the point, a thread floating around on these forums for people with our exact rigs mentioned setting graphics to low, and I haven’t crashed a single since, which was 5 months ago. My graphics were on some form of Custom setting by default.
The hypothesis is some effect that isn’t rendering properly with the AMD gpu through the cider wrapper and causes the boot, which sounds similar to yours.
try reducing graphics settings to best performance. If that eliminates the problem, increase one setting at a time until you find the one that breaks it, then keep that one lower.
that’s what solved my crash-on-doing-anything problem/
edit: I don’t have the same computer as volbogt (I’m on a Mac Pro with a Radeon HD 5870). Just saying it’s probably not limited to that computer.
