Guild Wars 2

First of: I am a noob, so I’m honestly confused and hope that someone can help me.
I had some issues with the Krait Shard before, double clicked it and it was “gone”, my guild didn’t know where stuff like this could be as well. I wasn’t really interested so I left it at that.
I got the gift of sprockets and since I was more interested in that I researched where exactly my home instance was (yeah, I really didn’t know) and where the sprocket generator might be located once installed. I wanted to unlock it with my human, so I traveled to the Salma district, double clicked the gift and… nothing. That was about a week ago, I still can’t find anything in that instance.
If the Krait shard should also be in that instance (every home instance of every character) I can’t find it either, but I unlocked it with one of my Sylvari and haven’t really been in their home instance since then.
So, what did I do wrong and what can I do?

Go check out your home instance!

You should see some features there that are new!

These items are made so that after clicking, it creates a node or something else in your home instance(s). Like the gift of sprockets gives you a node that you can gather sprockets from once a day per char in their home instance.

You didn’t do anything wrong! Go visit Dreamer’s Terrace in the Grove! And tell your guild

Edit: okay, then I’ll search in the Sylvari home instance, but shouldn’t it be in the human one?

Did you go to your actual home instance within your home?

( I admit to reading to fast thinking I knew the answer, oops)

They do make stuff easier, so tell your guild!

Any ‘node’ you unlock should show up in each and every one of the home instances. The easiest way to locate them would be the mini-map. They show up on the mini-map just as mining nodes do out in the Open World.
