Hey guys! i have a friend that wants Guild wars 2. The tricky part is that i havent found any “send as gift” when going to the https://buy.guildwars2.com/en/ .

So what should I do? i found a thread that was suggesting i should just buy the game as normally and afterwards when i get the information like serial key and such i could just forward it to my friend? Is that true? And does it work?

Yes, that is true, and that does work.

Your friend needs to make the account himself with the provided serial key. You can purchase the game, and when you receive the key, just forward it on to him, so he can make the account. Tell him to keep the key in a safe place, should he need it later to reset his account, since he won’t have the purchasing information.

Yep, that was me. I forwarded the code to my sister and she’s had no issues.

Edit: FWIW, I had the some questions when I was buying it. I ended up emailing support, and they told me to do exactly that.
