Guild Wars 2

Hey guys. My girlfriend’s laptop was recently stolen, and I thought I’d buy her a new one for her birthday coming up.

She doesn’t care much for graphics, so running on minimum with good frame rates is fine.

I am looking to spend around $500.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Im asuming u want one for gaming. GW2 specificaly ?

If so then im affraid your out of luck. GW2 demands a strong CPU, any laptop with a strong enough CPU and even a bare minimum GPU like a 650 will cost more than $500.

My advice is, give her the $500 and she will put he rest into getting a gaming laptop….likely another $500 atleast.

Best of what’s available at the price for gaming IMO, A8-5550M with HD-8550G. The GPU is more powerful than what’s found in inexpensive Intel laptops but CPU is a weaker.

If you are going for a powerful CPU then this. i5-4200U with Intel Graphics 4400M

At this price point it’s all about compromise. Either will probably play the game fair on low game settings. I would lean toward the AMD based one for general gaming.
