Gold thru mail
What we find in most of these cases is that someone typo’d the name of the recipient and someone else got the gold or items. You can file a ticket with Support, but I do not know that they will be able to help you with this.

another way to avoid sending the item to the wrong person via typo is to just add them to friend (or check guild list if they are in the guild) and right click their name to send them the mail so typos are taken out of the equation..
name was 100% correct. I sent him 1 silver after to test and he didnt get that either. His name is xohoku. There is no other variation of xohoku on gw2, its pretty unique. I thought maybe there was a waiting period before the gold could be received but thats not the case.

Is his mailbox full per chance? That will block receiving email. Have him try and delete as many mails as possible and see if it comes through then.
Make you firend delete some old mails they have, not mails from hearts or other npc’s but from actual people, there is a bug that causes the mailbox to fill up with fewer letters than it is ment to. If that works they should get the gold instantly after deleting the old mail they had.
