Hi, how are you all?

I’ve been having a pretty annoying issue lately…
First off I had a black screening issue on my desktop PC, it took me ages to fix it but it turned out to be my router, all I had to do was Disable Port Scan and DoS Protection and I was good to go!

Now, I just bought a brand spanking new laptop, and I’ve been trying to play GW2 on it (note this laptop is connected to the same router).

But my client often crashes due to a 2D texture error (GrTex2d.cpp), please note I submitted the ticket when the crash dialogue comes up.

I also get a random black screens on my laptop, and when I restart the client I get network errors quite often.
Also, when I log back into the game, the loading screen bounces back and forth between 2 maps, then it finally loads.

I’ve tried updating windows, clearing gw2cache… I feel like I’ve tried everything.
Note: I’m very tech literate so any suggestion will be considered

Please help, this is so kitten frustrating haha, I just wanna play the new living world happily

we need the crash log from the game’s folder to see what crashed the client .

but if you are boring …. most of the times the crashes are coming from corrupted game dat file … do a repair to the client as it descipted in this wiki page

Thanks, I am running the command line repair right now.

I will attempt to re-create the crash error and post the details here if possible

I re-created the crash in a highly populated area by switching from best performance to best appearance.

The crash details are attached.

in an other forum this error created from different settings ( overcloking the cpu ) in bios . logon in bios and choose the default options ( or default optimized ) and save it and check if this helped you

This is a stock standard laptop, I haven’t touched anything in the BIOS.

maybe it just conflicts with some bios settings . i see from asus that there are 2 updates for the bios . http://www.asus.com/ROG_ROG/G75VW/#support_Download_30

i see that the file is without extension so the laptop must have a utility to update the bios ( and drivers ) from the internet .
