Didn’t want to derail the main FPS thread but this is sort of related as linked to the infamous patch.

When waypointing into a map, the scene renders much slower than pre-patch. Pre-patch, it wasn’t noticeable at all, now I have to wait about five seconds before all the scenery is drawn. It’s not much, I know but it is an observation since the patch.

It’s very noticeable when coming from WvW to LA and also at Meddlers.

I’m guessing this is intentional with a change in the asset loading behavior. I’ve also noticed a lot of place holder models (the class generic pink ones) when it has a hard time loading player models in clustered events.

Assuming LOD is predicting and switching fast enough, it seems to keep the FPS above the stutter line.
