Settings screenshot (i tried everything on low, i tried no reflections, no shadows, etc etc, no result)
Seems like a software issue from the log. unable to load textures.
try doing a repair (https://help.guildwars2.com/entries/28148006-Repairing-the-Game-Client) on your gw2?
also set anti aliasing to application controlled in the nvidia control center. Maybe try a clean installation of the nvidia beta driver?
what overlay is that?
msi afterburner
i haven’t done any modifications through the nvidia control panel. so it’s default options (application controlled for aliasing), tried the beta, still no change. just got another black screen (334.67).
ok, tried clean (re)installing both the latest beta, and the 320 driver from last’s year’s august. still no change. furthermore, the black screen doesn’t seem related to how much is on screen at once, or the usage of my hardware, although i think a pattern might emerge. so far i got the black screen in quite a specific spot in lion’s arch, in one place in WvW, and some specific spots in dungeons,or it could be just random after all. Any more suggestions ? It’s worth specifying that once in those spots i’m talking about a black screen isn’t guaranteed

Maybe it is win 8.1 some people have same problem using win 8.1 in this game
Ok, so i’m at the edge of my nerves now. I did a dual boot this morning; now i’m running both win 8.1 × 64 and win 7 sp1 x 64. On my win 7 i’ve got nothing installed but the hardware drivers, teamspeak and the vpn software. After 1 h of playing on win 7 got another black screen, although i got an error beforehand; which i don’t know why i didn’t print screened, i was probably relieved that it was an error and not just a random black screen. i hope it’ll be visible in the logs.

Okey
1. Contact NVIDIA with your problem!
2. Run OCCT for 50-60 min.
what do you mean OCCT ?
furmark or OCCt – GPu burn test
http://www.ocbase.com/index.php/download
If black screen appears then you GPU is faulty
But you will need more test
CPU burn test (to test your mobo VRMs)
Try to find more GTX 770 users. Hopefully they can help you
None of the threads on any forum that i could find which relate to this problem have any solutions. The ticket which i’ve sent doesn’t have any repplies, and the nvidia tech guys said that it’s game related and they’re “working on it”. I’m beyond kittened.
That’s a factory overclocked card.
Have you tried lowering the GPU and memory clocks with MSI Afterburner? Try a 10% reduction as a test.
it’s the non overclocked version, the clock is stock. haven’t fidled with it.
Well i’m getting something different now… “Memory at address 6e4d9e70 could not be written”

Update : So i fidled with the card’s clocks and did a downclock through msi afterburner (memory -150 ; core -50) and changed the in-game res to windowed with borders which may have “stabilized” it a bit; (instead of getting a full on black screen, i only got it for a very brief period of time, like half a second). I haven’t fidled with the voltage, nor the power limit, which i’ve left at default values. Ideeas ? (PS did a valley benchmark and stress test for 1 straight hour. no glitches, no tearing, max card temp was 72 and the rest of the results are in the attached file.) All this was done on win 8.1 x64, will try to fiddle with these on win 7 as well.
PPPS I’ve launched a ticket a week ago, not one reply since, and i find this very insulting, since i’ve paid money for a software which i can’t really use, since all the clues indicate to a game to driver bug.
did you run furmark?
^no, will do that too (hopefully tonight)
