I have maxed out my elite specialization on my guardian, but I can not use a longbow in PvE, PvP, or any other part of the game. Is there something else I have to do before I can use the longbow? Is there something that could be blocking my specializations?

When you say, "maxed out", you mean unlocked via training AND equipped in your specialization screen? If not, that would be why -- make sure it’s equipped.

If you’ve done that obvious step, apologies -- just covering bases.

Yes I have unlocked all of the dragonhunter specializations on the screen, however all the longbow skills are grayed out. I can’t equip the longbow, when I try it says, “Weapon type unusable by your profession.”

you need to select the specialization in the build panel in the third slot. you can only use the bow if you have the specialization selected.

No you don’t need to max it out. When you spend the first 30 points it unlockes longbow when you choose the dragon hunter in the trait line.

No, you need to actually have the specialization equipped in your specialization lines in order to use it.

I have trained skills for the dragonhunter but it didnt show up in buildpanel how could this be. Doing something wrong?

The elite spec only shows up in the bottom trait line after the first 30 points are spent in the training tab.

It only works on the 3rd (bottom) slot of the build panel.
