Guild Wars 2

My guild leader has had to go afk and has sold his pc but he did this before transferring ownership to another member of the guild. Is there any way to promote another character(s) in the guild to leader so that we won’t lose our upgrades and such? He’s been gone fore nearly three months and we would really like to have access to the guilds influence and merits come expansion time…

The Guild is called Agony [AGNY], the current server is TC.

At this time, no. There is no way to promote another person and afaik they have never said they will ever do this.

Basically y’all have 3 choices. See if your your guild leader can somehow log in to the game to transfer leadership (from what you said, unlikely). Stay with the guild and continue to give it influence that may never be used. The new leader starts up a new guild and everyone joins and starts repping it with the old guild kept for the storage slots.

Imo, your best bet is for the leader to start the new guild and the guild build it up rather than sticking with a guild with worthless influence. Since the old guild probably already has the full storage y’all can put the influence in a new guild towards the other guild upgrades and only do guild bank when the rest is unlocked.

Sigh. I was afraid of this answer. No big deal…it’s only 1000 merits and 3mill influence…Thanks for the advice, though.
