Guild Wars 2

I just bought Guild Wars 2 Heroic Edition today. I’ve never played Guild Wars 2 yet either.
I’ve inserted disc one and all I get is “The Guild Wars 2 Installation requires administrator privileges to proceed. Please re-run the installation as an administrator user.”

I’m not really sure how to fix that so I’m hoping someone would be kind enough to help me out with this. Thanks ^_^

Open “Computer” locate the drive with the GW2 DVD, right click it and select open from the menu. Within that folder, find the installer exe, right click it and select run as administrator. It is possible that administrator access has been disabled on your account however.

Alternatively, you can download the GW2 launcher from:

http://cloudfront.guildwars2.com/client/Gw2.exe

… and place it in a location that doesn’t require administrative access.
