Guild Wars 2 won't install...
I don’t know what you mean by “it stops at 10422…”.
I recommend that you perform a “clean” boot, then try again. Here’s how to do that:
This issue has been brought up a lot and after hours of searching I cannot find a resolution… Yes, I am admin. Yes, I’ve turned of my Firewalls.
srry….when i run the install from dvd-rom it stops loading at 10422 kb (245kb/sec)…. tried the clean boot didn’t work but kb/sec drops to 0 before it closes no error messages or anything just stops running
same looked all over even called ppl who play the game and they dont even know you would think certain people would do something about this problem since there is sooooo many problems and its all over forums………….
If it’s at the exact same spot every time, take a close look at the disk.
That sounds like what happens when a CD/DVD has a small crack.
no crack…changed Gw2Setup.exe to Gw2.exe and it will go to same spot but second screen freezes instead of vanishing…….exe in C:/Games/GuildWars2 folder
This happens regardless of whether you are using a disc and downloaded version.
well getting pretty mad cuz just bought game yesterday and cant even install it……any ideas anyone?
Hi Witterot – Looks like the client won’t continue the installation because your graphics card doesn’t meet the minimum specs. There’s sort of a built in requirements check and if the client detects that you are either missing video card drivers or that one piece of hardware doesn’t meet the requirements, it will behave exactly as you have described.
Display Memory: 128.0 MB
That is probably your problem.
Minimum Specifications:
•NVIDIA® GeForce® 7800, ATI X1800, Intel HD 3000, or better (256 MB of video RAM and shader model 3.0 or better)
If it is a desktop look into upgrading your videocard to exceed the minimum spec. I recommend at least 512MB of video memory at MINIMUM and at least 1gb if you can afford that.

Just adding in here.
Did the OP ever fix the problem?
I have the very same issue, after the installer asks permission to continue, it suddenly stops and the application closes.
These are my specs:
AMD FX-6300 cpu
AMD Radeon HD 6670 gpu
8gb ram
300gb available space..
I know the gpu isnt great at all, but it should go past the system requirements.
Any other clues as to what causes the installer to suddenly stop?
Hi Xailoh – I would check to make sure your video card drivers are up to date first and foremost. If you’re missing video card drivers the launcher will “behave” very much the same way. I’d also check to make sure you don’t have any security software interfering with the client as well.
Thank you very much, in the end it was that, Windows showed me that the drivers were the newest, but I downloaded the newest from AMD and its working now
