I have tried EVERY THING!!!!

The launcher keeps popping between 80-100-0 kbs. I cant even get to the point where you log in. I tried using a VPN and BOOM it started downloading faster, but i ran out of free VPN service, so bam, here i am again. And I did everything to trouble shoot virus protection, up to removing it completely, router settings, nothing changed, seems like last update killed it, but i cant even get it TO DOWNLOAD A NEW GAME INSTALL

Same here. Can’t even make it to the login page.

I’m having the same problem. I tried both old and new 64bit exe. But if you’re stubborn like I am, and let it sit at 0, it does eventually start back up but at 10kb or so off and on. I’m gonna let it sit and watch Sportcenter and cross my fingers. GL

Question, did you guys buy HoT expansion, I talked to another person on FB and he didnt, having same issue, also my roomate can download fine and HAS expansion…

Its been down for 17 hr + now mate.

If it worked better with a VPN its clearly a problem with you ISP.

OK, this worked for me. Rt click on your gw2 or gw2-64 exe and select Properties. Add this to the end of the target line after a space -assetsrv 174.35.71.9:80 hit apply and try it. Hope it works for everyone…

I tried with both old and new exe. I’m in the NE US if that helps. Win 8.1 64bit.

Didn’t work. Actually the only place I could find a "target’ line related to the .exe was in the shortcut, which shot back an error.

Mid Atlantic Eastern US, launcher stuck at 0. All other internet functions work fine.

This worked for me. Hoping for a fix for this…

-assetsrv 174.35.71.9:80 this worked for me I am in ne us and once I added this to the target line in properties it loaded properly remember to hit space after the " so at the end of the line you see .exe" make sure you hit space then enter -assetsrv 174.35.71.9:80

I thought it was my ISP but my roommate which is 4 ft from me, is on with no issue

I’m on the Eastern US, in Pa and I’m having this problem. I’ve restarted my modem countless time and still nothing. It seems to jump from 60KB/sec and drops to 0, then slowly jumps to 10 and 0.

Tried this and every other IP they have listed, and none of them work. I’m east coast US as well, any other suggestions?

This worked for me with the 64 bit client I’m also in NE US make sure you type it in exactly like that for 64bit right click the desktop shortcut go to properties and under the Target type in the top line

For those with 32bit client use this in the Target under your shortcut

“C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe” -assetsrv 174.35.71.9:80

I tried the assetsrv thing, it doesn’t work for me. Maybe because I’m not in US?

Confirmed this fix worked for me.

Tried the fix, still not working, gets to about 50% download and reverts to 0kb.

Am in Australia.

Confirmed this worked for me as well.
Had to restart the launcher a few times when it hanged at 0KB/s. But did it in bursts and patched ok.
