Guild Wars 2

I am running Gw2.exe to load the game, and on the initial "Downloading 0KB (0KB/sec) screen, it does nothing for about five seconds and then is surrounded by a black box and reports as “Not Responding” in task manager.

Are there any workarounds/solutions?

I have the same problem…opened gw2, joined in LA. Then a crash, one file corrupted in details, then auto repair…crash, then starting client and same issue as descibed above…
