HELP - very low fps
I beleve your CPu is your bottleneck.. but to check .. download some monitoring software and see what your cpu and gpu susage is in lions arch like in your picture.
Chances are ether your gpu is maxed out, which i doubt since that gpu is only slightly behind the geforce 560ti which i run. or your CPU is running at high usage 60%+
Another way to check is to increase your graphcis settings ingame, keeping increasing them till your fps drops from what it is now. I suspect you can increase those settings wihtout much fps loss untill you start reachign max settings. Sugesting again that your CPU is bottlenecking you.
Unfortunatly upgrading your cpu will requir pritty much a new computer ..new cpu &cooler = new mobo = new ram = possibly new powersupply.

As above, your CPU is your bottleneck. Your GPU should be capable of much better speeds on them settings, but the Athlon II X2’s arent so powerful.
Its best to have a quad core cpu for this game of 3Ghz or higher, but with a newer architecture. Id recommend getting yourself an i5 either 2×00 series or 3×00 series. If you can get on with a “K” on the end youll be able to bump it up between 4-5Ghz for extra speed
download some monitoring software and see what your cpu and gpu susage
What software monitors cpu and gpu usage? Im looking around but im finding mostly software monitoring cpu and gpu temperatures
well i cant tell you where to get this item for free obviosly :p But if you can ‘aquire’ it ..get Aida 64 Extreme Edition.
It does everything, and its brilliant if you have a LCD display on your keyboard sincei t runs well with them.
For just GPu monitoring you could use maybe evga precission, i tend to use that for my custom gpu fan speeds and as an fps monitor.

this low fps started only last night, all was good since beta 1
GPU – 30-35% and CPU 85-95% with GW2 running.
So I think I got an answer.
One more think – is it true that GW2 just isnt well optimized and even at high lvl machines fps ratio droping rapidly at some events?
ANY dual core + GW2 = bad FPS
AMD Dual core + GW2 = EXTREMELY bad fps
ANY AMD cpu + GW2 = bad fps
GW2 runs fine on high end rigs & IMO is optimized pretty well. Never ever had any issue with FPS in any situation.

Have you tried unlocking your CPU cores?
If you do it, use this to test if it’s stable.
GW is optimized well imo. That is until the game engine reaches its current limits. and that happens in WvWvW.
Even top end computers see noticable slowdown in WvWvW and in 99% of cases those computers will see the CPU and GPU usuage drop even though the load is technicaly more.
Why? ..becouse the game engine has been bogged down and cant dish out the information fast enough.
However in most casses the fps you do get is ‘playable’.

No, it’s not otimized well. I’m active at some well known hardware forums like Guru3D and there are many people, including me, suffering from either bad hardware utilization or way too high load with GW2, and not only in SLI configurations or in WvWvW. Many of us have watercooled high-end rigs and the FPS fluctuations and limitations are ridiculous. Also, there are many spots that are not optimized at all. Choose human and go to the bandit cave right at the beginning for example, FPS go down from about 60 to way below 20 there. The upper area of Divinity’s Reach also suffers from bad performance. Most of the time, changing graphics options helps little to nothing since it’s CPU limited, even beyond 4,5GHz.
