To start GG Arenanet….
Yes i got Hacked 12 days ago, made ticket. My account got opened after few days but got closed down after few hours. changed my pass.
Update ticket, Account opened after few days again. Closed down again after few hours.
Changed pass on ALL my accounts, e-mail accounts. full scan on computer. checked all processors thats running etc.
Update ticket, wait 1day, Got help to change my account to a fresh newly made e-mail that i also changed password and got Google autheticator for mobile on.
Now i got new mail on my account and (they send new password to old mail GG)
But still it got opened, few hours it got shut down again for unauthorized logg in.
Notice I NEVER got a mail about some1 try logg in to my account, Yes i have confirmed my e-mail on my new e-mail acc etc. I never got a e-mail saying my account got shut down again.
Ok so 4th time it got shut down i made ticket and got a gm to open it and with new password still sent to old mail. But this time the forgot to Open account since i had to update ticket again and got a “sorry i forgot” msg sayin its open now.
Every time they sent me a new password i changed it asap to hard one with big letters numbers and ¤#"“#%”#%“#¤!”%/&/ in it.
So last night i got to play 30 mins before i had to go to bed. Working all day got home
Trying to log in…. and yes what do u think it said .. unauthorized ppl may have been accesing your account.
So tell me what can I do from my point of view…. some of u gonna say format c… sure im gonna do that sometime but atm i don’t think its my fault this must be Arenanet side.
What yah think? am I way off here waiting 12 days to play a game i payed for.

ps, just a little mad atm because this is just getting ridiculous i can only laugh about it.

I’ve made right decision – not to play until they fix all of this …
And yes. This is a bad joke. They send me a messege that “Someone -hope you!- changed your e-mail” and this messege was without any confirmation link. So…

p.s. can I refund this game? i think there are many alternative things worth 59.99 for this moment=)

If you changed your password and email account multiple times yet still managed to get hacked you either fell prey to a phishing attempt or you have a keylogger running on your machine.

And what if i had my system reinstalled today, played 1 hour, afk 1hour for dinner… and then I’m haked? Key logger? Dont think so…

Now, I’m open to the possibility ArenaNet is flagging false positives for some reason … I mean 2 million subscribers to juggle after three weeks, probably at least a few mistakes being made …
But if you really are getting hacked that easily, that’s GG Saywaat, not GG ArenaNet.

kos did you open a ticket? You won’t get any official support unless you open a ticket, from what I have seen. The ticket system is what they are using to process support requests.

I’ve opened a tiket. They change email. I can login. But for what?
I dont want to farm again. Than beeing hacked again. And loose gold and regs. And so on.
What for? Just to make gold sellers happy?
In WoW you will be given all that you loose in few clicks and minets. Here you will left without any money to teleport somewhere =)
I want my refund at this point.

Then if you haven’t already done so, set the subject of your ticket to “refund” or something like that (not sure if they have defaults). If you set it to something like “account compromised” then it probably won’t go to the billing department.

This was THE FIRST email from arenanet after i confirmed my email just right after purchaising.
So (email have sms login verification, no one can delete messages) how does it happend, that some one changed my email WITHOUT ANY CONFIRMATION, is it normally possible anywhere? Just giime example where such security question can be solved without any user confirmation?

Nop, was 4 years ago i played WoW, played mmo games for 13 years now never got my acc hacked before..

Thats just really unlucky
Have you checked your computer with multiple virus and malware scanners, because it seems you have a keylogger on your computer.
Also, please understand that keyloggers do not just take game login details. If you bank online or use online payment facilities such as paypal, those details will be taken too.

I’m wondering if the Keylogger itself is a fake client that may have been downloaded from a spoofed site? I can see this happening if people have been hacked multiple times where the person reinstalls the same fake client. People may not be aware that they may have been redirected to a hackers download site.
