So after being hacked I just realized that I was switched from Stormbluff Isle to Fort Aspenwood. Of course…now that I go try to get back on Stormbluff Isle, the server is completely FULL and not possible. So now, I cannot play with my guild/friends there.

I submitted a ticket, but I would like this issue resolved ASAP. I don’t want it lingering until transfers cost money and I get screwed over twice.

There should be a system in place to verify that you WANT to transfer. Yes, it likely wouldn’t have stopped the hacker in this case, but it would at least have slowed things down.

Help would be appreciated, because if I cannot play with friends, I won’t be playing this game.

Thanks for contacting the GW2 support team. You can transfer worlds by going to the character select screen and in the lower left hand corner you will find a button that says world selection. From there you can select Stormbluff Isle, and you will be playing again with your guild and friends in no time.

That is the response I received from a GM. They make it sound like it is easy to transfer to a full cap server.

I find it UTTERLY ridiculous that there is no apparent(unless he lied) way for ANet to transfer me themselves. If I can push a button ingame to transfer, ANet can do the same.

same thing happen to me. activated my account on the 30th sept. havent even choose my home world nor create my first character. then error saying i am being transferring to another world? what is being transferring anyway since i have nothing nor i havent even start playing ?!?!?! GM or customer service need to talk to yr client on phone and fix yr problem right there. i am a 3 years old D&D online player and i tell u that D&D online customer service department does call me within 2 hrs and fixes their problem right there with me online…. this is very bad service……

We understand how frustrating it can be to have your account accessed by someone other than you, and we are sorry you had to experience it. We simply do not have the tools to provide this service at this time.

AKA: ANet has NO way for the GM’s/Support to manually change your server status.

So I’m expected to basically solve all issues myself? Gotcha. I’ll be telling everyone to steer clear of ANet and ANet products in the future.

This is 2012. If you don’t have a way for your GM’s to manually do stuff that is IMPORTANT, then you are WAY behind the times and people need to KNOW about it.
