Hey all so I’ve enjoyed this game for over 100 hours with no major problems so far. I found tht my graphics card was overheating when I bought the game so I simply turned up the fan speed and nothing has gone wrong for near 100 hours.

Today I had GW2 minimized when all of a sudden it says theres a hardware failure detected. I start up again to notice some flickering graphics, This lead to a freeze when I opened my map and now when starting again, I get a bsod.

What gives? Any solution?

Sounds like either your graphics card has overheated (despite you speeding up the fan), the fan has failed, or your power supply might be failing.

These are guesses, of course. It’s hard to diagnose actual problems this way.

You could try opening up your computer and reseating everything and unpluging and re attaching all leads. it may just be a loose connection.

If it was constantly overheating at 90degrees+, you could be facing permanent hardware damages (especially if it’s a cheaply manufactured card).

Make sure you clean out the card itself and check your 12v rail voltages using a bios reader and make sure it’s within +-10% of 12volts.
