I was questing with a friend of mine, and just as I turn my camera to face the entrance to this cave entrance, I dip down to `10-15 FPS, and when i enter it I dip down to single digits lol

and before anyone asks me I get 40-over 100 FPS in some areas, and I have even turned everything on low just to test it and it still happens.

before any of the fanboi’s post it….you must be using an AMD cpu because only AMD cant game…..

that out of they way, I havent had that happen I have had weird fps spikes and dips at times tho…..very odd….

have you updated your gfx driver? just a thought, the newest drivers from amd and nvidia both have some tweaks that seem to help…..also if your on amd ALWAYS update your CAP’s, they arent just for multi card setups anymore(havent been for years)

and as far as that argument goes, I beg to differ on multiple levels lol

and yes, I always update my drivers for everything at the begging of every month just to get it all done at once =p

yeah, it is, but this games lack of proper optimization is…..shocking….

and and its not possible for you to get playable fps out of this game with AMD, just ask the Fanboi’s, they know all about how AMD sucks and Intel never has problems…..they keep telling me and every other amd user about it….(and ignoring all the posts from intel users with weird perf issues..)

nice cpu btw, I still got a 1055t sitting here on the desk that i havent opened, gonna have to break down and either sell it or upgrade my office system using it :P

Bandithaunt Caverns is infamous for causing low FPS. Something about the design of that cave is seriously messed up and causing FPS drops similar to those that most people experience during large fights.

I get only 25-35 fps in there, instead of the 60-120 FPS I normally get.

thanks =p I love this proc! not even worth the upgrade for a bulldozer when the performance on those really aren’t all what they can be!

YES, that particular cave is a menace to my FPS as well, same goes for the NW corner of Fireheart Rise. It’s not my system in this case, I get 80+ now after the -umbra gpu tweak, even 110+ in the Orr!

PS- don’t bother with Bulldozer, wait for the FX 8350 when the price drops (it’s listed $250 atm).

It’s not your computer, Bandithaunt Caverns are bugged. Something to do with all those bombs exploding probably. I had to go there a few days ago, I was exploring the map at 100%, and as soon as I entered that cave FPS dropped to 10. Exit the cave, FPS go back to normal.
