My account was suspended 22 hours ago for “account issues”. I immediately filed a ticket and got a response soon after. I found out that my serial code was purchased by a fraudulent credit card/ stolen paypal account ( i bought it from an online reseller for $35 —now i know why it was so cheap). They reviewed my account and have decided to release the account to me. In order to gain access to my account again, I have to buy a new serial code and apply it to my account. I am lucky they gave me another chance instead of permanently banning my account.
Thank you ArenaNet Support Team for your quick response and I am glad this nightmare is finally over.
I’m glad to hear they responded so quickly to your issue. I have faith that one day I too will have a similar story.

Likewise… Only I bought my digital copy on ArenaNets own GW2 webshop. So unless they hand out buggered stuff… And i’ve waited near 48(44 actually since they answered the ticket that they will look into it) hours by now.

I am posting there every three days, hoping that is okay, hoping i am doing what i can to help solving it faster with that.

I wish they would deny those who purchased their games at shady as heck websites in order to save a few bucks.
This should have been a $35 life lesson…
If it would have been shady as heck people wouldnt have bought there. Also ebay resellers have been well rated.
It also is not uncommon to research in the web for discounts that are gained with bulkpurchasing and such.
Dont be an angry person wishing others bad that didnt meant to do wrong. Thats just not nice.

I’d say it depends on the complexity of a case. Some tickets take longer than others depending on how much they have to investigate. There’s also the human factor to take into consideration. If you write a ticket in anger, the person on the receiving end might not be so inclined to prioritize your ticket.

When i do my support tickets, i calm my anger and write it in a professional manner. Its day 3 now and i have hear absolutely nothing at all

Yes i have posted there. Do they work over weekends and through nights
Gaile Gray is the support liaison and she’s usually the one providing further assistance with these issues. I believe she doesn’t work on weekends but she does respond quickly during work hours.
