Hey guys,

So last weekend I bought the game and played it right away ofcourse.
At first it was all working fine and good.

But then ( I think after the patch ) it broke down a little.

It starts with the game loading alot longer then before.
Then it takes a while before the sounds comes up,as in the game itself is already there but the sound come’s with a 2min delay, and breaks down every so often, when jumping for example the sound comes much much later for it.
The game itself loads slowly too so i have to wait a bit to have it load everything before i can walk, before it was just not really doing this
The cutscenes when talking to npc also take a while to load up, they do play but before it was right away, now it takes a bit.
Or when creating a new char it takes a while to load up, and to load the classses when selecting one.

Now i posted in the wrong forum but a helpfull chap said to try and repair the client, i did and that didnt work.
So i figured lets delete everthing and start fresh.

That didnt work either….
So now any help would be great, kinda sucks to begin my first week in gw2 like this!
And i dont want it to suck seems like it is a fun game, so would be nice if i can get this fixed!

Oh also i bought the game with my girlfriend, her laptop is alot older then the alienware i am using, but for her the game runs smoothly like it did with me before.

But was hoping to see if somebody knew a solution to this on the forums as well. ( figured i make this in the right place on the forums this time around )

If not ill have to wait and see when i get a reply from Tech support.

Also it seems since i am a new account i cant reply to PM’s yet.

Sadly i defragmented it recently and got 300gb free space on it so i think we can rule that one out.

Fun fact though, when running the game on my GF laptop with my account, it works fine.
So it does seem its something to do with my laptop

Make sure your audio settings in-game, in your audio application (if any) and in your OS system match the device you are using to hear audio.

For instance, if you are using a 2.1 system, make sure the OS audio settings are for 2.1, as well as the audio settings in-game.

This has caused problems for players, in the past, when the settings do not match.

Right!

Well that seemed too have done something,
The game is still slowish but playable again after doing that.
