Hello,

This is actually in regards to GW1. I play both games, and I linked my accounts. I had only logged in once to GW1 after GW2 was released., however I am now having a problem logging back into GW1.

My old account was on another laptop and the password was saved so I never had to type it in. I am unable to remember the password, I sent an email without a response from support. I wanted to post this on the GW1 forum, but it asked me for my account password to log in, obviously I don’t have this.

Can support please forward this email to GW1 support? I would like to at least have a response.

You can either link the two accounts, if you know one of your character names in GW1, which will change the GW1 password to the password you use for GW2, or…

You can contact Customer Support for assistance. Top of Page – Support – Submit a Request. Good luck.

Edit: Oh! I missed the part where you said you had already linked your accounts, so disregard that part. As they are already linked, you should have no trouble using the same Account Name and Password for both accounts, as long as you know a character name for GW1.

Again, if you continue to have issues, contact CS. =)

Since you have already linked your accounts, your login and password would be exactly the same as GW2, and the same as you would use to login to this website as well.

This is correct. However, if you continue to have trouble, please feel free to submit a ticket by clicking “Support” at the top of this page, then clicking “Submit a request” in the upper right-hand section of that linked page. The team should be able to assist you.

For tips on what information to provide in a ticket — mostly intended for security reasons to establish that you own the account — please read this post and provide as many suggested details as possible to expedite the ticket.
